Professional Advisors Association
The Professional Advisors Association (PAA) is an incorporated society. It represents the interests of 530 advisors who distribute financial services including investments, life and disability products, mortgages and fire and general products. The PAA’s objectives include bringing advisors into closer contact with one another, encouraging professionalism and promotion of ethical and business standards.
Members of the PAA have access to a number of benefits such as Professional Indemnity Insurance, conferences and access to holiday homes.
The PAA contacted Infopower because we had concerns about the quality of information management and the manual systems that generated this information.
It was like a toothache; we could feel the effects and had an idea of where the pain was coming from, but we didn’t know the exact cause.
PAA discussed this with Infopower, and asked them to take a look at our systems and how they could be automated and improved. Infopower found a host of spreadsheets, databases and paper-based files requiring duplication of data entry with exposure to risk from transcription errors and knowledge of key staff to operate them.
After a number of meetings between Infopower, members of the PAA board and the management team, Infopower presented PAA with recommendations to implement a membership system to replace a host of spreadsheets, databases and paper-based files.
We commissioned Infopower to build the system for us and have now been using it successfully for almost a year. The success of our new system was recently highlighted when we had a complete change in administration staff, and were able to make the system available to other members of the PAA team (around the country), who have been able to successfully operate it.
The system we now have in place will allow PAA to pursue its plans for growth in the knowledge that we have good systems in place to support our current and anticipated business needs.
