Features
The Client Record holds a personal profile for each client. This includes contact details and next of kin, as well as details of the services the client is eligible for and their care requirements. A flexible note recording feature also allows alerts to be recorded relating to any conditions/issues specific to the client, their needs and preferences.
The Support Worker Record holds comprehensive information relating to each support worker, ranging from their contact details and next of kin, to their skill set, knowledge and availability (dates/times, geographical areas). Specific pay rates can be recorded and a flexible note recording feature allows alerts to be recorded relating to any conditions/issues specific to the worker.
Rostering is the most frequently used area of Caduceus as this is how day-to-day placement of support workers with clients is managed. Appointments can be created as single entries or as multiple entries into the future. They are viewed graphically and colour coding provides visually recognisable prompts for special conditions such as holidays, eligibilities exceeded, or other types of appointment. Finding all available support workers that meet a client's specific care needs can be achieved quickly and efficiently by using a variety of filtering criteria such as staff availability, qualifications, location, client preferences etc. SMS text messages can be sent directly to care providers from this screen.
Clinical and Services Management is made easy through the use of Caduceus’s Care Plan facility. The auto population of predefined tasks into the body of the care plan facilitates the rapid creation of an individual’s care plan which handles all requirements from Household Management through to Advanced Personal Care. As the focus for individual Client needs assessment shifts to evolving systems and technologies from other sources such as 'InterRAI—HC' and the 'Target Tool', Caduceus will manage these requirements.
Restorative Packages of Care caters for the trend to fund 'packages of care'. Caduceus offers superior functionality for budget planning and the recording of any number of client goals to achieve their overall objectives. Multiple documents can be attached within a client's record so related information from assessments etc is readily available. Caduceus makes restorative bulk funding simplicity itself, saving considerable management and administrative time.
Financial Management The timesheet function amalgamates all rates, eligibilities and delivered hours so invoices can be generated quickly and efficiently. The generation of invoices from Caduceus eliminates data entry errors arising from re-keying of data. Caduceus exports electronic invoices to both HealthPAC and ACC electronic payment systems reducing administration time and further speeding up payment to your organisation. Caduceus also allows for simple reconciliation of HealthPAC rejections and simple resubmitting of unpaid claims. Exception reports highlight any instances where services delivered are under or over a client’s recorded eligibility. The ability to record multiple rates of pay and define standard and variable working hours facilitates comprehensive payroll extracts.
Interfaces Caduceus communicates directly with other systems - Panztel for electronic timesheets as well as interfaces with many popular payroll and financial applications. Interfaces to such systems allow electronic transfer of data, eliminating the need to manually re-enter data.
Reporting The reporting features in Caduceus provide access to a large number of standard managerial and operational reports, with on-screen filters allowing for an array of content variables for each. As Caduceus is used in 17 out of 21 DHB areas in New Zealand, most reporting variations are already available, enabling you to realise the benefits of your investment as soon as you start using Caduceus.
Management Information In addition to meeting funders’ reporting requirements, Caduceus delivers key management information at the touch of a button. Key performance indicator reports can be set up for instant, up to the minute information to enable you to make key management decisions. Technology, Deployment and Hosting Options Caduceus runs on the popular Microsoft SQL server technology and can operate on PC's, Laptops and Notebook computers on or off-site, running all current versions of Windows technology. It can be implemented into your work environment in several configurations, including stand-alone, local or area networked, citrix, terminal server or replicated locally from a central site. Alternatively, we can provide secure hosting for you to access Caduceus remotely with only an internet connection, freeing you from the time, cost and worry of managing your own server infrastructure.
